How to use it

The scale factor is never above 1, so it only ever shrinks an image in pixels — it cannot enlarge one or add detail. A PNG is saved as PNG, but a JPEG or a WebP is saved as JPEG, so a WebP loses its format here. The JPEG re-encode is lossy: text edges and fine detail soften as the quality drops, so compare the preview before downloading.
