QR Code Reader

Create QR codes locally for plain text, HTTP or HTTPS links, email addresses, phone numbers, SMS messages, and Wi-Fi credentials. The generator validates fields according to the selected mode, preserves UTF-8 text, escapes Wi-Fi values, and rejects empty or excessive payloads. You can adjust error correction, colors, margin, and output size while reviewing the generated code before downloading PNG or SVG. The normalized payload can be copied without launching it. No link is opened, no message or call is initiated, and no network connection is attempted. Dense payloads receive a practical readability warning rather than a guarantee that every scanner will read them.

Generate common one-dimensional barcodes locally as SVG for CODE128, EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, CODE39, and ITF-14. Format-specific validation enforces required lengths and character sets instead of truncating malformed input. For EAN, UPC, and ITF payloads, the generator can append the standard modulo-10 check digit when only the payload digits are supplied, or verify an existing digit when the complete value is entered. Bar width, height, margin, and readable text can be adjusted before downloading a sanitized SVG or copying the normalized value. No barcode value is transmitted. A valid checksum only confirms arithmetic consistency; it does not prove GS1 allocation, registration, uniqueness, ownership, or retail-database acceptance.

Barcode Reader decodes a linear (1D) barcode from an image you choose — a PNG, JPEG, or WebP file — entirely in your browser. It reads EAN-13, EAN-8, UPC-A, UPC-E, Code 128, Code 39, ITF, and Codabar. The image is decoded on your device with a bundled ZXing decoder; nothing is uploaded, and the file, the decoded value, and the result are never stored or sent anywhere. For each barcode it finds, the tool shows the decoded value and the detected format, and it can return more than one result when an image contains several stacked barcodes. It is a decoder only: it does not look up a product, price, brand, or GS1 registration, and a decoded value is not a verified or authenticated barcode. QR codes are not handled here — use the QR Code Reader for those. Whether a barcode is read depends on its type, the image quality, its size, and its orientation.
