Open Graph Preview
Open Graph Preview builds and previews the social metadata that platforms read when a page is shared.
Twitter overrides & handles (optional)
Drop a local image for the preview (PNG, JPEG, WebP — max 20 MB)
For the preview only. It is not uploaded and is not added to your og:image tag.
Illustrative previews
Platforms can crop, truncate or ignore metadata differently. These previews are illustrative.
- Enter a title before generating the tags.
- No description. Social previews usually show one line of text under the title.
- No page URL. og:url helps platforms attribute the share to the right address.
- No image URL. Most platforms fall back to a plain text card without one.
- No site name. og:site_name is shown as a small label on some cards.
Enter a title (and fix any invalid URL) to generate the tags.
How to use it
- Fill in the title, description, page URL, image URL and site name
- Choose the og:type and the Twitter card type, and add Twitter overrides if needed
- Check the illustrative wide and compact previews and the errors and warnings
- Copy the Open Graph tags, the Twitter Card tags, or all of them
Fill in a title, description, page URL, image URL, site name and og:type (website or article), and the tool generates the Open Graph tags (og:title, og:description, og:url, og:type, og:image, og:site_name) and Twitter/X Card tags. twitter:card is always emitted, and twitter:title, twitter:description and twitter:image are generated from the Open Graph values unless you fill an override — your input fields are never changed for you. URLs are checked for the http:// or https:// scheme, and a script-like value is escaped, never executed. Two illustrative previews — wide and compact — show how a card can look; the image URL you enter is put in the tags but never fetched by Tooliba, so there is no preview image until you optionally drop a local one, which stays on your device and is not added to og:image. Character counts and guidance flag empty descriptions, missing images, http URLs and very long text without blocking generation. It does not reproduce Facebook, X or LinkedIn exactly, and it does not read metadata from any remote page. Unlike the Meta Tag Generator, which handles title, description and robots tags, this tool focuses on social metadata. Everything runs locally; nothing you type is sent anywhere.
FAQ
Open Graph is a set of <meta property="og:..."> tags that tell social platforms how to display a shared link: which title, description, image and site name to use. Twitter/X reads a similar set of twitter: tags, falling back to the Open Graph values when a twitter: tag is missing.
No. The wide and compact previews are illustrative. Every platform crops images, truncates text and applies its own styling, and some ignore certain tags. Use the previews to sense-check length and layout, not as a pixel-accurate render.
No. The image URL you enter is written into the generated tags but is never requested by the tool. The preview shows a placeholder until you optionally drop a local image, which is used for the preview only and stays on your device.
Not always. X falls back to the Open Graph tags for the title, description and image. This tool still writes explicit twitter: tags from your Open Graph values so the output is unambiguous, and lets you override any of them or add twitter:site and twitter:creator handles.
No. The tags are built and previewed entirely in your browser. Your title, description, URLs, site name and any local image never leave your device, and analytics records only that the tool was used.
